"About Me"

When I logged into pinterest today, it asked me to update the "About Me" section of my profile. (What? You have a pinterest accont too? click here & follow me!) I sat there staring at the screen, not knowing where to start. Where do you begin to describe yourself, in one little paragraph in one little section of a webpage? Should I start by saying I'm married, married to a soldier? Should I start with my age? Should I state my name (even though it's in big letters at the top of the page <- I always though that was silly when folks do that.)

And then I think, how could I not know how to describe myself. I mean I'm with myself every single day of every single year of my life. I have to know a little something about how to sum up "Katelyn Davis."

Here's what I wrote, pretty generic and boring:

I'm 21 years old, mama of two handsome young men (Jack -2yrs, Jonah -4mos). I love books, the beach, writing, and attempting to be crafty. A brave, young soldier stole my heart almost 5 years ago. A wedding, college, a baby, a deployment, a second baby, and 4 cross-country moves later... he's still putting up with my geeky, over-worried, sometimes silly, OCD self. My pinterest shows every side of me, probably even the ones I try to hide (:

In my AFTB class I learned that often you have a skewed view of yourself.
Sooooo I'm asking for help?
What are a few words you would use to describe me?
You can post them anonymously if you want, just be honest (:

  1. Kate, I can't even begin to describe how much I respect you. Despite your relatively young age (which I'm sure you're reminded of constantly), you are a breath of fresh air. You have such a realistic grasp of the military lifestyle, and I love you for it. I may be a little sappy tonight, but God bless you for your commitment to your family and this lifestyle. It's hard enough to be a soldier's wife, but you have SUCH a great attitude about it. I admire you for all that you are. :) Love you, girl!
