Things that make us excited for Fort Campbell

Since we found out we're moving, Jeff and I have been constantly saying "And you know what else will be awesome when we move...(insert reason why moving to Fort Campbell is amazing)". So I've decided to write them down.

Things that make us excited for Fort Campbell

1. its six hours from home, hello!
3. SUN!!!!!! getting an actual tan in the summer
2. snow, sledding, building snowmen
3. The Corvette museum is close
4. Nashville is only an hour away
5. I can finally take Jeff to Dollywood, the Smokies, and Gaitlinburg
6. Friends and family will be able to come visit more often
7. Bob Evans, Steak and Shake, and Buffalo Wild Wings
8. It's in the Herr's potato chips distributing area
9. Seeing the leaves changed all around us in the fall
10. Being close to great friends (thats you Amber Easley and Amber Welton!)
11. The chance to have another cross country roadtrip

More to come when Jeff gets home and reminds me of all the random conversations about how happy we are and about what.

Too old too fast

At least for mama, jack is growing up entirely too quickly. Last night was his first night in his toddler bed. After realizing he was supposed to go to sleep, he did just fine. Unlike his mama, who was a blubbering mess! I just can't believe how big he is. They say time flies when it comes to your children, and they are so right. I can still remember the first night he was at home in his crib like it was yesterday and now he doesn't even need a crib!

Everyone keeps saying.. "Don't worry your having another one remember?" But its so not the same. Not saying I won't be totally in love with baby bean as well (or that I won't be a blubbering mess when he/she moves to a toddler bed). Jack and I have been through a lot together in his short life, and I'm not sure how I would have made it through some days without him. He's taught me so much about myself and about love. That baby boy -err- little man is amazing. I guess I should suck it up and be thankful for the opportunity God has given me to watch him grow up.

The Holidays are Over

Pheewwwwwwwww. They are over. Not to say I didn't have a GREAT Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.. but man, I'm glad to be getting a routine back.

Things that happened over the past month

*We hosted our very first thanksgiving on our own and prepared food for 12 people (and had a great time!)
*My best friend Erin came to visit
*One of our houseguests moved out
*We had a baby bean appt where we got to see he/she moving around!
*We went shopping on Christmas Eve where we surprised each other with these:
(I got a new phone, and Jeff got a new BIG tv)

*We skyped with our families in Ohio on Christmas morning and had a great time
*We watched these:
and
(both were hilarious)

*And last but not least, our best friends Jake and Emma had a baby girl.. Selah Joy!

What have you been up to lately?
